How to Know God How to Know God If you are seeking help for yourself or for a loved one who was abused you need to start with a relationship with the One who created you. You will never find true soul-deep healing unless you first find God. How? It is fairly simple. Thankfully, God wants you to know Him and He has provided a way. All of us, when we are born, are born with the ability and desire to sin – to do things that do not honor God. Each of us has turned to our own way. (Isaiah 53:6) That sin has separated us from God. We are not able to draw near to Him. “If I regard wickedness in my heart, the Lord will not hear” (Psalm 66:18) God is holy. Sin cannot enter His presence. How then can we enter His presence? How can we be holy? We must have Jesus. Jesus died and shed His blood to make us holy before God. “We have the righteousness of Christ.” Since Christ did not sin, if we have Jesus then God views us as if we had not sinned. We can enter into His presence. We must admit our sin We must repent We must ask God to forgive us We must follow Christ as Lord |
